Welcome to official message board of the American Fence Association! It’s easy to get started networking with your fellow AFA members by following just a few simple steps:

Create a Thread: You can create a thread two different ways by either using the “Forum Threads View” or the “Forum Posts View.” The “New Thread Button” is located at the top of each page. (Note: You will only see this button once you are properly registered and logged in to the message board.)

Previewing a Post: Prior to posting a new thread or adding a post to an existing thread, you will have the option to preview your post. The “Preview Button” is located on the “Add a Post” screen. If you wish to edit your post after previewing it, the “Return to Edit” button will take you back to the former screen.

Editing a Post: If you wish to edit your post once it is already added to the forum, you may do so by clicking the “Edit” button. Once you make any changes and corrections, click the “Update” button.

Selecting E-mail Notification: If you’d like to receive immediate information regarding updates and additional posts to any thread, you must check the checkbox at the bottom of the “Add Post” screen.

Reporting a Post: If you spot a post that happens to be offensive or breaks one of the forum’s rules, you are encouraged to report it to a forum moderator by using a “Report Post” link at the bottom of every unique post. (Note: Once a post has been reported, it is up to the forum moderators and administrators to decide whether or not action to remove the post should be taken.)

Private Messaging: Sometimes, you might want to discuss an issue with another forum member in private without bringing in the rest of the forum members. To do so, you can send a “Private Message” through either the user’s personal profile screen, or by going through the member list.

Searching the Forums: Click the “Search Icon” in the forum toolbar, and input your criteria.
