Whether cantilever or vertical lift, vehicle crash rated gates feature a fortifying member that consists of a structural steel tube housing one or more cables, pre-cast concrete anchors and spring-loaded locking mechanisms that work in unison to restrain and limit penetration to a predetermined acceptable level.
When the gate is hit, the fortifying member (structural tube) is pushed into the pre-cast concrete anchors and spring loaded rods engage and lock the structural tube and cables in place instantaneously.
