Fence Contractor Business School is one of AFA’s newest schools, which debuted to the industry in 2018. Attendees are taught, in an intensive one-week classroom format, the business of the fence contracting industry.
The school consists of six individual courses covering the most critically important aspects of managing a fence contracting business:
Many of the attendees at the inaugural Fence Contractor Business School were veteran owners of fence contractor firms. These students gave the school high marks as they learned many of the skills, they had not been previously taught, or had to figure out by trial and error over the years. These individuals also benefitted from the school as a means of preparing for the Certified Fence Contractor examinations.
The school is targeted toward the next generation of fence contractor professionals, or those who are currently in the fence business and plan to take on an ownership or top management role in the near- or long-term future. These students will learn the business side of the operation and gain valuable education on topics that will benefit them for a lifetime.
FCBS has been postponed for 2020. AFA plans on offering FCBS multiple times in 2021 and we will post those dates and locations once they are confirmed.
At the conclusion of this school, attendees have the optional opportunity to sit for the Certified Fence Contractor (CFC) certification examination administered by the Accreditation & Certification Institute (ACI). This requires a separate registration and fee. This application is available at www.acieducation.org.
Study materials for the course will be emailed to students in advance of the course. Advance study is highly recommended to enhance the value of the school.
