The WHO’S WHO in Fencing Membership Directory is an annual listing of AFA members. Members are organized by their primary business classifications and each entry includes a company name, representative name, address, telephone, fax numbers, e-mail and web address.

Dates
|
Publication Date. Distributed to more than 2,500 distinct company owners and managers, WHO’S WHO is published in the fourth quarter of each calendar year.
Closing Date. Advertising closes September 15. No cancellations accepted after the closing date. Ad materials must be received by September 22. Ads requiring typesetting or layout must be submitted two weeks prior to closing. |

AFA Member Discount. AFA members advertising in the Directory are eligible for a 3% discount on base price.
Agency Commission. Recognized advertising agencies qualify for a 15% discount on gross billing (i.e. base rate) for space, color and position. Commission does not apply to production charges, such as typesetting, layout, color separation and halftone stripping.

Ad Color Costs

Color costs are in addition to space costs. Standard AAAA Colors (red, blue, green, or yellow) or Matched Colors (specified by PMS number) are available in all ad sizes. Separation charges are extra if required.

Ad Mechanical Requirements
|
Trim Size, Printing & Binding. Publication trim size is 5 1/2’’ wide x 8 1/2’’ high. Sheet fed printing. Perfect bound.
Copy. Camera-ready copy is accepted: line art, velox, digital file or film are also accepted. Recommended 110 or 120 line screen for black and 2-color. Recommended 133 line screen for standard 4-color separations; 120 line setting for scanner 4-color separations that produce a finer black screen negative.
Digital File Requirements. Quark or Quark Express requested. Include all JPG, EPS or TIFF files and all screen and printer fonts (use type 1 or level 2 Postscript fonts only). Provide a laser proof of black & white ads; a color proof of color ads. Ship files on 100mb Zip, 3 1/2’’ floppy or CDs.
Proofs. Proofs must accompany all digital files. Color keys, a set of progressive proofs, a chromalin proof, or a match print required on all color ads. Four-color proofing sequence should be that which produces the maximum trap.
Bleed. Vital part of bleed advertisement must be kept at least 1/2’’ from each bleed edge except in spread gutter. Publisher is not responsible for “live” material running in bleed area.

Consult publisher before submitting any other materials not outlined above. Offset material is available immediately after publication or anytime up to one year. All materials will be destroyed 12 months from date of insertion if not repeated or requested to be returned. |
