How do I register?
Registration will open in November. Sign up to receive an email reminder to register today.
Can my spouse or child attend the conference? If so, what is the cost?
Yes, both can attend. Spouses must register just like any other attendee and submit proper method of payment. Children under the age of 17 are FREE and will receive wristbands at any on-site registration counter. A parent/guardian must accompany minors under the age of 18 on the exhibit floor.
Can I register if I am not an AFA Member?
Yes, all trade professions are welcome. Non-member rates will be applied to your registration.

How do I book a hotel?
For the convenience of our attendees and exhibitors, AFA contracts with hotels for significant room blocks.

Do you offer individual seminars for purchase?
An Education & Exhibits package will be available for purchase this year and will include access to all FENCETECH seminars as well as access to the show floor (Wednesday-Saturday). FENCETECH will also offer two schools and four certification exams available for individual purchase.
Are there any networking events at FENCETECH?
Networking is a key element in your professional development and education. AFA continues to create new events that allow you to interact with your colleagues and share your ideas such as the All Conference Party & Auction on Friday, March 15th, the Awards Dinner and Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 14th and the Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday, March 12th. View the Special Events page for more details. The Exhibits floor is also a great opportunity to meet peers from around the country and discuss the latest trends and technologies in our industry.
Rules
WHO MAY ATTEND?
American Fence Association (AFA) National and Chapter events are designed for fence, deck and railing industry professionals and open to registered participants only. AFA and its chapters reserve the right to determine eligibility of any participant to attend the event. AFA may, in its sole discretion, determine that certain participants are ineligible to attend due to a potential conflict of interest and/or the questionable nature of their products and/or services.
REGISTRATION
Events are open to registered participants only. Name badges are required for entrance to all functions of the event.
CAMERAS & CELL PHONES
Cell phone, still or video photography at all events is strictly PROHIBITED unless otherwise approved or authorized in writing by AFA staff or leadership. This action will result in immediate expulsion from the event. No cell phones may be used during seminars or speaking portions of the events. All participants will be asked to turn them off as a courtesy to our speakers and others attending.
DRESS CODE
Casual attire is acceptable at any AFA National or Chapter event unless otherwise noted.
SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed in event locations unless otherwise noted.
PROFESSIONALISM
AFA sets the bar of professionalism in the fence, deck and railing industry, as set forth in AFA’s Business and Ethical Practices. All participants will be held to this professional standard. Participants will not be allowed to promote other competing organizations or use the AFA sponsored event as an opportunity to disparage or otherwise damage the reputation and integrity of AFA, its leadership, its members and the products/services they make, sell and install.
MEETINGS, EXHIBITS & SOLICITATION
Only registered exhibitors for any AFA National or Chapter event may promote their product or services. NON-exhibiting companies are PROHIBITED from distributing sales & marketing materials and/or attempting to sell products/services not being exhibited inside the event. This action will result in immediate expulsion from the event. All materials will be confiscated and destroyed.
CHILDREN
Children under the age of 17 are FREE and will receive wristbands at any on-site registration counter. A parent/guardian must accompany minors under the age of 18 on the exhibit floor.
VIOLATIONS
Violations of any of these rules by the participant shall constitute cause to terminate admission. AFA may, in its sole discretion, immediately escort participant out of the event and participant shall forfeit all event-related fees paid to AFA.
