Join us for a virtual education conference to learn how you can help keep your community safe and be up to date on the highest safety standards on gates in the fence industry. Over three consecutive days (for three one-hour education sessions), you will learn about recently changed gate safety standards. We will present gate safety issues found in the field and explain easy ways they can be remedied. During this time, you will hear from industry experts and others working to raise awareness and provide attainable solutions for this safety issue. You will leave the webinar with tools to address these issues in your local area. This event is for anyone interested in gate safety and is targeted to be a resource for Code Enforcement Officials, Fire Marshalls, and other AHJs.
By attending this event, individuals can expect to leave with an understanding of this common and preventable gate safety issue. You will leave with an understanding of how to fix and/or identify these problems on new and existing gates. Attendees will also learn what is required to meet the industry safety standards of ASTM and DASMA, which are used in many code sources throughout the country to create gate safety standards. Toolkits to address these issues in your own communities will be provided.
