How to Request an Event
Submit the request form on this page. All events require approval and must meet AFA’s standards.
Basic Requirements
- Request at least 6 weeks in advance.
- Expect a minimum of 5 candidates.
- AFA scheduling depends on qualified proctor/examiner availability.
Fees
- No fee if you meet the 5-candidate minimum and give 6+ weeks’ notice.
- Otherwise, an administrative fee may apply (set by the Credentialing Committee).
Test Site Coordinator
Every event must have a designated coordinator to:
- Serve as the main contact with AFA.
- Prepare and monitor the testing room.
- Stay onsite during testing (or appoint a representative).
- Sign the Test Site Coordinator agreement.
All testing events must be approved and sanctioned by AFA. Written examinations may only be proctored by individuals authorized by the Credentialing Committee. Hands-on Testing requires examiners also authorized by the Credentialing Committee.
Rooms & Site Requirements
- Quiet, enclosed room, sized for participants.
- Classroom setup: max 2 per table, table for personal items, table/chairs for proctors.
- Testing blocks must run in four-hour increments (examples: 8:00–Noon, 1:00–5:00, or all day).
- Only registered candidates with photo ID may enter.
Important Notes
- Exams may only be proctored/examined by AFA-authorized personnel.
- No fees may be charged to candidates solely for testing.
- Accessibility accommodations will be provided per AFA policy.
