Why Digital Badging?​

At AFA, we are committed to providing you with the tools necessary to achieve your professional goals. We understand that demonstrating your expertise in today’s ever-expanding online marketplace can be challenging. That’s why we have partnered with Credly to offer a digital version of your AFA credentials.​

A digital badge is more than just an image—it’s a dynamic representation of your hard-earned qualification. By clicking on the badge, viewers can access verified metadata describing your accomplishments and the process you undertook to earn them.​

Digital badges can be featured wherever you want to make your credentials stand out—email signatures, digital résumés, and social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Share your achievements and set yourself apart in the industry with AFA’s Digital Badge Program!

Earning Digital Badges

AFA automatically issues digital badges when you:​

• Earn an AFA Certification (CFC, CGAD, CGAT, COM), or​;
• Successfully complete an AFA School (Fence Contractor Business School, Fence Installation School, Gate Automation Designer School, Gate Automation Installer School, Operations Manager School, Sales Training School).​

When you receive a new credential, an email invitation from Credly will prompt you to claim your digital badge. If you do not receive this email (and it is not in your spam folder), please contact Sara Surprenant for assistance.

Using Your Digital Badge

The real power of your digital badge lies in sharing it with your network! Once you’ve claimed your badge, you can:​

• Share on Social Media: Post directly to LinkedIn, Facebook, or X/Twitter.​
• Download the Badge: Use it in your marketing materials, email signature, and more.​
• Embed on Your Website: Copy and paste the provided embed code to display the badge on your site.​

Remember, this credential belongs to you individually, not your employer. Should you ever change companies, your certification travels with you.​

How to Share Your Badge​

1. Log in to your Credly account.​
2. From your profile, select the badge you’d like to share and click Share.​
3. Choose one of the many sharing options—social networks, email, or website embed.​
4. Don’t forget to add #AFACertified for maximum visibility!​

How to Download Your Badge Image​

1. After selecting your badge in Credly, click Download Badge Image.​
2. Adjust the size to your needs, then click Download.​
3. Use your new badge image in email signatures, brochures, or other marketing materials.​
